About Huber Auction Group, LLC
Offering flexible formats to meet diverse client needs, our company conducts online, live, and simulcast auctions. Our operations center around our secure 32,000 square foot facility in Greenfield, Indiana, situated on over 4 acres with more than 100 paved parking spaces and a semi loading dock for convenient transport of large items.
With a robust schedule of well over 100 auctions annually—both at our facility and at client locations—Huber Auction Group has established itself as a leader in the auction industry. Our dedicated team believes in maximizing exposure for our sellers’ assets through comprehensive marketing strategies.
We employ marketing specialists who utilize our 17,000+ email subscriber list and leverage multiple platforms including Google, Facebook, Instagram, and specialty publications to reach targeted buyer audiences.

Marc Huber
Marc Huber is the founder and principal auctioneer of Huber Auction Group, LLC. A proud graduate of Greenfield Central High School, Marc has built his expertise through comprehensive professional education, including the Reppert School of Auctioneering, Professional Ringmen’s Institute, Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), and Tucker School of Real Estate.
As a licensed auctioneer in both Indiana and Ohio, Marc brings exceptional skill and industry knowledge to every auction. He further enhances his service offerings as a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker, providing clients with comprehensive expertise in property transactions. Marc maintains active memberships in the Indiana Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association, demonstrating his commitment to industry best practices.
Beyond leading Huber Auction Group, Marc frequently serves as a contract auctioneer and professional ringman for other auction companies, and generously donates his time to numerous benefit auctions throughout the year. His leadership in the industry is evidenced by his service as a Director, Vice President, and President of the Indiana Auctioneers Association.
When not in the auction arena, Marc enjoys quality time with his family, camping adventures, and his passion for classic cars and hot rods.

In addition to these major events, DSA conducts a minimum of 35 onsite auctions across the Midwest each year. The company provides a range of supplementary services, including commissioned auctions, direct purchases, guarantees, appraisals, and real estate auctions.
DSA is dedicated to connecting the right buyers with premium equipment and sellers. They have formed a global partnership with Proxibid.com, which expands their customer base for online bidding and purchasing significantly. Furthermore, DSA employs a robust marketing strategy that encompasses local publications, signage, and digital platforms such as Google and Facebook.
Nic Smock
Nic Smock is a seasoned auctioneer and real estate professional based in the Greater Indianapolis area. He is the President and Owner of Don Smock Auction Company, Inc., proudly continuing the legacy of his father, Don Smock, who founded the company. As a second-generation auctioneer, Nic also serves as a licensed real estate agent and USPAP-certified appraiser. He holds several prestigious designations, including GPPA (Graduate Personal Property Appraiser), CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute), and AMM (Auction Marketing Management).
Nic’s professional training includes education from the Certified Auctioneers Institute and the Continental Auctioneer School. He is a member of the National Auctioneer Association and a graduate of Heritage Christian High School.
A dedicated family man, Nic actively volunteers in his community, including with Noblesville Schools, the Noblesville United Soccer Club, and on the board of The Jackson Center for Cerebral Palsy. In his free time, he enjoys supporting his kids at their lacrosse, soccer, and tumbling events.
In recognition of his ongoing community service, Nic was honored as the Youth Organization Volunteer of the Year, a testament to his passion for giving back and supporting youth initiatives.
Matt Scalf
Matt Scalf is the Sales Manager at Universal Liquidation Specialist, a premier firm specializing in asset sales within the bankruptcy and banking industries. In this role, Matt leads complex liquidation efforts across a range of industries, helping financial institutions and legal professionals navigate asset recovery with precision and integrity. His expertise in distressed asset management makes him a trusted partner in high-stakes liquidation scenarios.
In Addition Matt Scalf is the Director of Equipment Appraisal & Real Estate Divisions at Don Smock Auction Co., Inc., with a proven track record in turning complex asset situations into successful liquidation strategies. With more than a decade of commercial real estate experience and deep expertise in personal property appraisal, Matt brings a unique ability to evaluate, manage, and liquidate a wide range of assets across various industries.
Since 2014, Matt has completed over 250 personal property appraisals, covering construction equipment, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, heavy trucks, trailers, and other general assets.
His understanding of both the appraisal and auction worlds allows him to tailor liquidation approaches that maximize value while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
As a certified Equipment Appraiser and licensed Real Estate Broker, Matt is fully compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). He leads the personal property appraisal and commercial real estate divisions at Don Smock Auction Co., Inc., managing a multi-million dollar real estate portfolio and working directly with clients throughout the Midwest on complex appraisal, sales, and liquidation projects.
Matt holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Human Resources Management from Indiana University (2002). He earned the Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) designation in 2015 through the National Auctioneers Association, along with completing the 15-Hour USPAP course. He meets continuing education requirements by completing a 7-hour USPAP refresher course biennially.
In addition to his appraisal credentials, Matt completed the Real Estate Certification Program in 2015, earning his Real Estate Broker’s License. He further advanced his expertise with the Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE) course in 2017 and the Auction Marketing Management (AMM) course in 2018. He maintains all required licenses and designations through ongoing annual continuing education.
With extensive experience in asset management, valuation, real estate, and auctions, Matt Scalf is a trusted partner for clients seeking comprehensive solutions in asset liquidation, valuation, and disposition.
